It is advisable to avoid wearing the same pair of men’s shoes on consecutive days, not because it is considered a fashion faux pas, but to prevent having the unpleasant condition of smelly feet. Smelly feet – to use its medical term; bromodosis – is caused when feet sweat throughout the day and are encased in shoes and unable to breathe.
The sweat that the shoes absorb takes longer than just overnight to dry, therefore if you wear the same pair of men’s shoes the following day, the stale sweat in the shoe will cause feet to smell. The best way to combat this problem is to alternate shoes everyday to ensure that each pair of men’s shoes is able to dry out properly before being worn again.
If you notice any sign of red or dry skin treat feet and men’s shoes with anti-fungal spray to eradicate any fungal infections before they spread.
Another consequence of continually wearing the same pair of men’s shoes is that they can actually alter the shape of your feet which could cause problems with wearing other shoes in the future.
So for happy, healthy feet, make sure you wear a different pair of men’s shoes as often as possible.
